Psychological Sciences

Jessica Loya is a third-year Ph.D. student in Jim Magnuson’s Computational and Cognitive Neuroscience of Language Lab at UConn. Growing up speaking two languages has led to an interest in bilingualism. She has done work on English spoken word recognition and is currently working on projects involving monolingual and multilingual young readers with RD. She hopes to explore how Spanish heritage speakers experience regaining proficiency in their first language.
