Postdoctoral Trainee
Psychological Sciences
John Muegge is a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr. Emily Myers and Dr. Jim Magnuson. He broadly studies the cognitive mechanisms that support the comprehension of spoken language, with a particular interest in understanding individual variation within these systems. This includes research using behavioral methods to address questions in speech categorization, word recognition, and sentence comprehension (in a variety of populations and listening conditions) and the use of computational models to inform theories of these processes. John received a B.S. in Psychology at UConn before completing his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Iowa with Bob McMurray.
